Happy Monday again, friends!
It may be September now, but it definitely felt like summer the past few days. After a good storm Saturday night, it's a bit cooler, but I'm still in "Fall Denial." :-)
Last week the first of our fall activities began with the kickoff for Wednesday Night Kids' Programs at church, and next week starts Bible Study and my beloved MOPs. I have to say I'm really excited for both, but I'm going to enjoy this last "lazy" week without a schedule.
Garden Update:
Things are winding down in the garden. We didn't can a single thing this week, and though that means we may not have as much for winter, it was a welcome change of pace. Here's what we picked:- Tomatoes
- Green & Red Bell Peppers
- Hungarian Wax Peppers
- Green Beans
- Blackberries
- Raspberries
Our garden looks a little overgrown because we're going to attempt harvesting seeds. These are seed pods on a broccoli plant.
This Week's Menu Plan 9/8-9/14
Monday: Salad Night
Tuesday: Spaghetti with Fresh Tomato Sauce
Wednesday: Sloppy Joes
Thursday: Grilled Chicken, Baked Potatoes
Friday: Salmon, Homemade Mac & Cheese
Saturday: Homemade Stromboli (Made with Garlic-Herb Pizza Dough)
Sunday: Leftovers
Last Week's Post:
Well, that's it for this week. What do you have planned for the week ahead?
