Could you have used Goo-Gone to make the removal of the adhesive from the spoons easier? You can often find a small bottle of Goo-Gone in the dollar section at Target.
The stands look as good if not better than the Anthro version- kudos!

Thanks! I used a paste of baking soda and vegetable oil, which works like goo gone.
